The Hallway

I keep a dream journal, and for a long time I've wanted to illustrate it. This is the first illustration, based on a dream in which I was being chased by Cerberus. In the final "scene" I am in an abandoned building feeling safe because of the endless places to hide and the fact that I hadn't seen him in a while. I leave a staircase, walk a few feet, before feeling it. I turn and look over my shoulder and their they are in this cloud of darkness as if they'd been waiting there all along.

I went back to something I've tried in the past in using a sketch along with the painting . . . I may have more work to do on that aspect, but I want sketches tie in the journal part and also the fading out of dreams . . . even when you wake up they are already slipping away, fading out, losing pieces.
